May 13, 2005 - I have a lots of very active fresh grains to share right now! I'll be mailing some on Monday, so you get ahold of me over the weekend ... you could have your own kefir grains by the middle of next week. (Even when I don't have extra fresh grains, I always have some frozen that I can revive and send out.)
I culture in raw (unpasteurized, un-homogenized) whole cow's milk - organic when I can get it, but the grains should also work just fine in standard (pasteurized/homogenized) milk.
If you're in the San Francisco bay area you can come get them; otherwise I'm willing to mail them to you. Let me know if you'd also like instructions on what to do with the grains once you get them.
I've been told - and have no reason to doubt - that these grains are originally from Dom, through a few people in the Wisconsin area and then to me. |
