Message from Coren:
Hi,

I receive Kefir grains from Simon, an Australian friend, who had received them from Claire (I think), also Australian, while both were living in Osaka.

Kefir was totally unknown to me then, and looked pretty weird, but thanks to Dom's Kefir-making in-site, I could quickly learn a lot about Kefir and its use.

It's been more than 2 years now, and I am still regularly making my milk Kefir and some water Kefir too, although less intensively.

I use my Kefir very fermented, very acidic, mixed with a lot of bananas, which makes a great base for fruit shakes both sweet and stingy. Awesome !

I only do small batches of Kefir, so the grains, although healthy, do not grow very quickly. This means that I am only able to give some from time to time, when there are enough.

I love Kefir, I am very grateful to my friends who made me discover it, and I wish to transmit this to people who are interested.

Just let me know.

By clicking the Send button above, you will send a Kefir grains request to one of our Kefir community members. If you don't get the response within 3-5 days, don't panic, ask someone else, even if the person is not in the same city as you are.

Kefir grains grow fairly slow, so people run out of them easily, and will not respond to you unless they have extra grains to share. Second thing, live Kefir grains are extremely resistant, so shipping them through mail is fine. Kefir grains that I shipped during coldest days of winter, or hottest days of summer still live and are shared by many members of our Kefir community. Mind you, I wasn't even shipping dried ones, but live, real Kefir grains. Thanks, Adnan.
