Message from Mariekoran:
I have milk kefir grains, offered in 1 Tbsp, maybe sometimes 2 Tbsp quantity at a time. For me, these grains have been kefiring about 1 Tbsp grains to 8 oz milk. I use Sassy Cow brand organic milk only. In winter of 2011, I had to 'correct' them by culturing overnight in buttermilk. They have made great kefir since, but it took a couple months for their kefirin production to recover. They make great kefir now.
Local pick-up only, I do not ship them. I live in Sun Prairie. I do travel to Wi Dells every couple months (and Milwaukee a couple times a year) and could meet up there though.

By clicking the Send button above, you will send a Kefir grains request to one of our Kefir community members. If you don't get the response within 3-5 days, don't panic, ask someone else, even if the person is not in the same city as you are.
Kefir grains grow fairly slow, so people run out of them easily, and will not respond to you unless they have extra grains to share. Second thing, live Kefir grains are extremely resistant, so shipping them through mail is fine. Kefir grains that I shipped during coldest days of winter, or hottest days of summer still live and are shared by many members of our Kefir community. Mind you, I wasn't even shipping dried ones, but live, real Kefir grains. Thanks, Adnan.
