- What is ShowDog.Com?
ShowDog.Com is an online game where you get to take on the mixed role of breeder, owner, handler, trainer, and groomer of a kennel of show dogs. You get to manage the rations your dogs receive, how you breed your dogs, which shows you enter, who handles your dogs in the shows, and much, much more.

NO REAL DOG SALES
We do not condone puppy auctions and want to make it clear that this is a GAME. There will never be real dogs for sale on ShowDog.Com.
Time Scale
One month in real life is equal one year in the game
Puppies mature at one month
Breeding
Any puppies not sold to other users can be sent to forever homes where they will be cared for by a loving family
You cannot breed mutts, only purebred dogs
A detailed genetic engine creates traits for new puppies based on the traits of their parents
Buying/Selling
Dogs can be listed in our online classifieds to receive offers
Dog owners screen the offers received to decide on a user to sell their dog or bitch to
Any user can make an unsolicited offer on any other dog
There are no puppy auctions on ShowDog.Com

If there aren't enough breeders for the breed you want to work with, you can get your friends to join and make your breed more popular
Each breed has its own level of difficulty based on the amount of users, dogs, and entries over the past month. For a detailed ranking of breed difficulty, click the link on the left hand toolbar
Day-To-Day Operation
Users have to feed their dogs a ration of their choosing
Subscribers can create custom rations
You have to work with your dogs to get them in prime condition Exercise Amount of exercise depends on breed and age of dog
Dogs health will be impacted on how much exercise it gets
Will impact muscle development in dogs
Obedience Training Will have a huge impact on how well a dog performs in the show ring
Some breeds will be harder/easier to train than others
Users will improve at obedience training as they train their dogs
Grooming Depending on breed some breeds may not need to be groomed at all
Some breeds will require extensive grooming
Grooming effect on breeds with a large grooming requirement will depend on the ability of the user
Users will 'get better' at grooming as they groom more dogs
Users have a limited amount of time to devote to each of the three requirements of their dogs
Show Circuit
One all-breed show every day on the circuit
Users can pay to sponsor additional shows
Show Dog Rankings
Dogs compete to finish their championships just like real life
Dogs are ranked nationally, by variety, and by breed according to the system used by the AKC
Dog Show Judging
Dogs compete in following divisions; Dogs Puppies (under one month game time)
12 - 18 months (one to one and half months game time)
Novice (users with less than two-months on the site)
Handled by exhibitor

Open
Bitches Puppies (under one month game time)
